The registration price says “based on 20 participants.” What happens if less than 20 people sign up? If less than 20 participants are registered by the deadline of May 30, the travel agent will re-price the trip for a smaller group and ask registrants if they would still like to attend. If the group decides not to travel, the trip will be canceled without penalty.
Who can attend the trip? WLI program alumni and their spouses, partners, immediate family members, and children over the age of 16 are welcome to attend the Fall Alumni Seminar.
Where should I fly into? Our seminar will begin the evening of Saturday, October 12 in Waikiki. We recommend flying into Honolulu International Airport (HNL). Our seminar will formally end the evening of Friday, October 18 in Kona. We recommend flying out of Kona International Airport (KOA). However, participants are responsible for booking their own airfare so feel free to tack on a few extra days for sightseeing before or after the seminar.
Is the inter-island flight included? No, the inter-island flight to Hilo is not included in the registration cost. However, our travel agent will book our inter-island airfare for the group when our attendance list is finalized. Anticipate inter-island airfare to cost between $150 and $250 per person.
What is included in the registration fee? The registration fee includes most meals, lodging, bus transportation, tour and technical visits, and a tour guide.
